Nature Journaling Workshop

Introduction to the design of a nature diary.

"I can see no more than you, but I've trained myself to notice what I see." - Sherlock Holmes

What awaits you:

In our hectic times, we often do not take the space to carefully and consciously perceive our surroundings. Often we don't even notice in detail what surrounds us and how our environment changes over the course of the year. Keeping a nature diary gives us the opportunity to slow down, pause and take a closer look.

Keeping a nature journal is an ancient tradition that has been practiced throughout history, from the ancient Greeks to naturalists such as Darwin, Audubon and Muir.

In this workshop we combine this tradition with selected nature education activities and mindfulness exercises.

In addition to imparting knowledge, we experience how a deeper enthusiasm grows within us and we discover wonders that we would otherwise have passed by.

We don't need to be good draftsmen to create a nature journal. It's not just about what emerges on the pages, but rather lies in the experience, in observing and immersing yourself in nature, as well as in the here and now.

So, grab a notebook and your favorite pens, come by and let yourself be surprised what there is to discover!

The biologist and nature educator Lucia Kühn (Hahneberg nature conservation station) & the nature educator Luisa Wolf (www.wildfühlung.de) are happy to accompany you through the workshop and are available for questions and suggestions  _cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_
